Visible Menders Skill-Building: Basic Darning In-Person
This week will focus on repairing knit fabrics using the weave darning technique taught by local art teacher Ann Marie Piantedosi. All materials will be provided. Please arrive at 6 pm if you are interested in learning about darning.
After the skill-building demonstration, you'll have time to try the darning technique with support from your peers or work on another visible mending project. If you don't want to learn about darning, come by anytime between 6 and 8 to work on your projects like usual.
About Visible Menders:
Are you interested in an eco-friendly alternative to fast fashion? Do you enjoy visible mending as an art form, or are you interested in the concept? Then this group is for you! Bring your own project, and stitch to your heart's content! This is not an instructional program unless noted, but we can learn from each other. Other fiber enthusiasts are welcome! Meets every 2nd and 4th Monday.
