Laura Brown (she/her) is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP-BC), and holds a certification as a Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP) from The Menopause Society, one of only 1,300 in the country. She has a genuine passion for women’s health, educating women about their bodies, and empowering them to make excellent decisions for their wellness. Laura began her NP career in Internal Medicine which gave her a broad spectrum of experience, and most recently worked in OBGYN which allowed her to focus on women’s health across the lifespan. Prior to that, she worked as an RN in pediatric home health and camp nurse, and began her healthcare career as a Patient Care Technician on the Transitional Care Unit of Emerson Hospital. Throughout her career she saw up-close the insufficiency of care, knowledge and information available to patients in midlife as they approached the menopause transition, and how their health and quality of life suffered as a result. Because of this, she has developed a deep and abiding passion for educating and empowering women in this particular phase of life!

Laura earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in History at Guilford College in Greensboro, North Carolina, as well as a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees, both in nursing, at Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts. She is a member in good standing of The Menopause Society, the Massachusetts Coalition of Nurse Practitioners and the International Society for the Study of Women’s Sexual Health, and she is a Certified Coach through Koach Training, as well as a co-chair of the North Atlantic Regional Committee of the Nurse Practitioners in Women’s Health organization.
